Red Drop Resources is fueled by volunteers. Without the countless hours that volunteers put into our mission, we wouldn’t be here today! Thank you for your interest in volunteering.

Turkey Trot is back!

Red Drop Resources is excited to partner with Rochester's Turkey Trot 5K again this year. This is a wonderful fundraising opportunity for us as we are given a cash donation for every volunteer that we provide to help make this race successful.

On Wednesday November 27th, there will be packet pick-up at Scheels in Rochester. Volunteers will be assisting the race staff in handing out bags, t-shirts, and race bids to registered participants. This is an indoor opportunity with the exact location yet to be determined. Two hour shifts are available, but feel free to sign up for more than one if you want to stay more!

On Thursday November 28th, volunteers are used in various ways to help with the race. This includes same day packet pick-up, water stations, handing out rolls at the ends, and route clean-up. This is an OUTDOOR event, so please dress accordingly and plan on staying the ENTIRE shift.

In addition to our on-going volunteer needs described in the sections below, we are currently looking for some extra elbow grease to help at Travis’ House!

  • Leaf clean-up- We have two very large trees in our yard that shed a lot of leaves. You will sign up for a specific week but can come anytime during that week that works well for you. This project is perfect for 2-3 individuals, or one very ambitious person! It is impossible to predict when the leaves will fall and how fast, but we appreciate you committing to be there for whatever may be there. Sign up for your specific week here.

Individual Volunteers

We would love to hear about your interests, skills, and what brings you joy! We can then look for opportunities to match you with volunteer work in our organization. Here are some of the ways individuals are volunteering in our organization now:

  • Event Committees-meet monthly to help plan and execute annual fundraising events

  • Board Membership-members help govern our organization by providing strategic oversight. Terms are two years in length and begin in September

  • Special Events/Outreach-volunteers assist in outreach events in the committee (such as booths, giving presentations, etc) as well seasonal events such as Winter Celebrations

  • Cleaning Travis’ House in between patients/families.

We welcome regularly scheduled volunteers as well as seasonal volunteers to assist with some of our largest endeavors.

Please email us at info@rdrmn.org for more information!

 Group Volunteers

We also welcome the assistance of youth groups, churches, schools, any group at all! Take on a project or consider hosting a fundraiser to benefit Red Drop Resources.

Contact us directly to set up a time to discuss the right opportunity for you or your group! info@rdrmn.org
